The Global Sumud Flotilla, a coalition of civilian vessels carrying aid and activists, is continuing its journey toward Gaza despite warnings from Israel

Organisers said on Monday that the flotilla’s lead boats were 366 nautical miles (678km) from Gaza, with an expected arrival in three to four days. “In just two days, the flotilla will enter the high-risk zone,” the group stated on social media. The fleet now comprises 44 vessels after two additional boats joined the mission.
The voyage has drawn increased international monitoring. Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Greece have all been tracking the flotilla’s progress. Flight data showed Turkish drones circling above the ships in recent days, while Italy and Spain have deployed naval vessels in case of humanitarian
or rescue needs. Both countries stressed their ships would not engage militarily.
The flotilla resumed sailing after repairs in Greek waters, following a drone strike last week that damaged several boats. No injuries were reported.
Participants include parliamentarians, lawyers, and activists, among them Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg. “We will obviously do everything to have a peaceful, non-violent stance,” said Italian European Parliament member Benedetta Scuderi.

The flotilla is expected to reach Gaza’s vicinity later this week, with its progress closely watched amid concerns over possible confrontation.
